Enrique Cadicamo, a tango composer who wrote the hit song “Bubbles of Soap,” died Dec. 3 of natural causes in Buenos Aires. He was 99.
Cadicamo’s “Bubbles” was popularized by tango star Carlos Gardel and is known as a classic piece in the tango genre.
He is also remembered for the songs “The World Lacks a Screw,” “The Little House of My Parents,” “Ruby” and “Injured Soul.”
Cadicamo also worked in the film industry. He wrote several screenplays including “Galeria de esperanzas” (1934) and “The History of Tango” (1949), and scripted others with writer Felix Pelayo.
