Endeavor ups 4, in style

Comedian delivers news at anni meeting

Ever the nonconformist, the Endeavor Agency has not just promoted four assistants to agents but done so in a creative way.

The new agents are Vani Kane, Lori Christopher, Bo Arble and Cara Rachelefsky.

At a breakfast marking the fifth anniversary of the agency last week, one of the partners introduced an unexpected video. It featured a well-known comedian who proceeded to congratulate the agency on its five years and then name the four promoted agents — who until that moment did not know they were being upped.

This maverick way of promoting is not new at Endeavor: In the past, a window washer, hanging outside of the 10th floor office window in front of an assemblage of agents, held up a sign with the names of a couple of promoted assistants.

And prior to that, a top Universal exec addressed the Endeavor staff and, breaking from his speech, announced the name of a promoted agent — who was his sister.
