Lolee Aries, a producer on “The Simpsons” and “King of the Hill,” has been tapped veep of production for Nickelodeon Animation Studios.
In her new post, Aries will oversee daily production on all of the toon studio’s inhouse projects, including current series “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Hey Arnold!,” “Catdog,” “Angry Beavers,” and “Oh Yeah! Cartoons!” and upcoming series “ChalkZone,” “The Fairly Oddparents” and “Invader Zim.”
She will also concentrate on the digital production process, including original show production for Web site Nick.com, and increase the utilization of inhouse talent.
“Lolee’s extensive knowledge of animation production makes her an invaluable asset to Nickelodeon Animation Studios,” said veep and general manager Mark Taylor, to whom Aries will report. “She will be an integral part of our team in our endeavor to maintain the quality of Nicktoon’s productions.”
Most recently, the Emmy-winning Aries was veep of production for Film Roman as a producer on “Simpsons” and executive producer for “Hill.”
Prior to Film Roman, Aries worked for Hanna-Barbera as a track reader on “Yogi Bear.”
