Todd Miller has been tapped as managing director of Sony’s AXN action channel in Asia, replacing James Buklarewicz who held the post since launch in 1997.
Miller, who is currently serving as VP of sales for Columbia TriStar International TV in Hong Kong, has been credited with growing the CTIT Asian business by 300% and doubling market share and client during his term as VP over the last five years.
Based in Hong Kong, Miller will relocate to Singapore, where AXN has its regional headquarters. He will be responsible for guiding the actioner’s growth, overseeing the network’s three satellite services — AXN India, AXN Taiwan and AXN East Asia, which now reach 16 million households in 15 countries. He will report to Jon Petrovich, exec VP, International Channels for CTIT.
Prior to joining CTIT, Miller was senior sales exec for Rupert Murdoch’s Hong Kong-based satcaster Star TV.
