National Geographic Channels Intl. has tapped Angela Morton as chief operating officer and James Bond as chief financial officer.
Both execs will be based in Washington, D.C.
Morton — who joins NGCI from Fox Channel Group — will supervise programming, marketing and operations for the channel.
While at Fox, Morton served as exec VP of network development, overseeing all strategic and operational planning. Her foreign postings have included stints in Hong Kong as head of network planning for Star TV and as general manager of BSkyB’s Sky Travel Channel in London.
Acting as the primary financial liaison for NGCI ventures with National Geographic Television, NBC and Fox Entertainment Group, Bond will head all financing matters for the company’s regional operations in Europe, Australia and Asia, as well as upcoming launches in Italy, Latin America and Canada.
Previously, Bond was the director of programming and sales for Discovery Networks Intl.
