Stan Lee Media bows tune unit, clothing line

Months after Mary J. Blige inked a deal with Stan Lee Media to create an online animated series in which the R&B songstress voices her superhero character, the dot-com is launching a branded music division beginning with a line of hip-hop clothing with apparel maker Tamash. The Blige-inspired line will focus on sportswear, offering items such as baby tees, tank tops and dresses priced between $25 and $60. Tamash plans to have the clothing in stores by the holiday season. Stan Lee Media has also created a Web-based superhero series for pop crooners the Backstreet Boys. That show bowed Sunday.
