Matt Rader is expected to be named prexy of television and film, as well as all digital productions, at Paradise Music and Entertainment, insiders said.
Rader, senior veepee of Jesse Dylan’s Destiny Films, will assume the mantle formerly held by Jay Moloney, the recently deceased Paradise film and TV topper.
He will also be responsible for heading Paradise’s Internet content development plans. It seems a natural transition for Rader, who will, in effect, be reporting to the same boss in Dylan, who heads both Destiny and Paradise.
Rader most recently supervised production and development on Destiny’s “Cover Me,” a TV series for which USA Networks has just placed a 13-episode commitment.
The company is also expected to announce the hire of Elisabeth Caren as director of development at the newly formed Paradise Digital Productions, and to name Debra Gainor head of physical production at PDP.
Caren most recently served as the development exec for Kathryn Bigelow’s First Light Prods., based at Working Title Films. Gainor served as production supervisor on the upcoming Sundance pic “Panic” with William H. Macy and Neve Campbell, and before that, supervised production on Miramax’s “Happy, Texas.”
