Latin Grammys to bow in L.A.

Inaugural event taking place on Sept. 15, CBS to b'cast

Los Angeles edged Miami as the site for the First Annual Latin Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy announced Wednesday that the inaugural event will take place at an undisclosed arena in Los Angeles on Sept. 15.

The show will be broadcast by CBS and distributed internationally via CBS Broadcast International. Nominations for the awards, which will span 40 categories of Latin music, will be announced in August.
