Kim L. Pinto has been tapped VP and publisher of Premiere magazine.
Most recently the associate publisher of Harper’s Bazaar since 1998, Pinto replaces former Premiere VP and publisher Jennifer Gallo Hicks. Pinto, who begins her new appointment Aug. 1, will report to Hachette Filipacchi Magazines prexy and CEO Jack Kliger.
“Kim is the best choice to lead Premiere because of her proven track record,” Kliger said. “I know that Kim’s extensive knowledge and experience will be valuable in our ongoing efforts to build Premiere.”
Prior to Harper’s Bazaar, Pinto was the advertising director of Hearst and the eastern advertising director of Playboy. In addition, she has worked as the international advertising director of Vanity Fair and the advertising manager and beauty advertising manager of Mademoiselle. Pinto began her career in public relations at Burson-Marsteller.
