Exec will handle worldwide publicity, marketing
Like her ex-Disney colleague Geoffrey Ammer, Mae Joyce has ankled the Mouse House to join Revolution Studios, where she will handle worldwide publicity and marketing.Joyce is expected to work closely with Ammer in marketing and will be the company’s point person on all publicity efforts. She begins her new gig (execs at Revolution hold no titles) Dec. 11. She will handle actions by the Sony publicity and marketing departments for Revolution titles. “We are genuinely thrilled to welcome Mae to Revolution,” said Revolution partner Tom Sherak. “The coming months are a critical time for us, and we will rely on Mae’s insight, relationships, strategy and integrity to navigate our publicity, both for our films and for us as a studio. Her excellent reputation precedes her, and we have the utmost confidence that she is the right person for the job.” Joyce had been veep of national publicity for the Walt Disney Studios, working campaigns for pics including “Unbreakable,” “Remember the Titans,” “The Insider,” “The Sixth Sense,” “Coyote Ugly” and “Summer of Sam.” She was promoted to veep from director of national publicity, during which she worked on such films as “The Horse Whisperer,” “Con Air,” “Rushmore,” “The Parent Trap,” “George of the Jungle,” “Beloved” and “Evita.” Prior to Disney, Joyce managed field operations for Warner Bros., where she oversaw publicity and promotion throughout the U.S.
