A revival of Edward Albee’s 1965 drama “Tiny Alice” opens the Second Stage Theatre’s 2000-2001 season. Richard Thomas headlines, with Mark Lamos directing. Beth Henley’s “Crimes of the Heart” and John Patrick Shanley’s new play “Cellini,” based on the life of Renaissance sculptor Benvenuto Cellini, round out the new season, with a fourth production to be announced.
“Jitney” currently occupies the midtown Off Broadway theater. The August Wilson play, which opened to enthusiastic reviews, has been rumored to be mak-ing a commercial transfer, with Ben Mordecai attached as producer.
