Comes on heels of North American reorg announcement
NEW YORK — Live event promoter SFX Entertainment has tapped Ed Stacey executive VP and chief financial officer, and Adam Phillips as exec veep of corporate development.
Stacey came to SFX from Houston-based telecom carrier Williams Communications, where he was executive director and controller of Williams’ Solutions unit. Prior to that, the exec spent 13 years in several roles within PC maker Compaq, most recently as Houston-based director of financial operations.
Before Phillips signed on at SFX, he was senior VP of corporate development for flower retailer Gerald Stevens. He began his career as an attorney specializing in corporate finance, and later spent five years in various executive positions at Viacom unit Blockbuster Entertainment.
Gotham-based SFX, which was acquired earlier this year by mammoth radio station operator Clear Channel Communications, recently announced that it plans to reorganize its North American operations into eight separate geographical regions.
Company will also stop using the name brands of promotion firms it has acquired over the past two years, including Pace Entertainment and Cellar Door.
