NEW YORK — Last year, he was Lenny Bruce on the West End. Now he’s back to being Eddie Izzard in his new one-man show, “Circle,” which begins its North America tour in Toronto on Feb. 29 at the Barthurst Street Theater.
From there, the writer-comedian takes “Circle” to Boston’s 57th Street Theater (March 7-11), Chicago’s Royal George Theater (March 14-25), Philadelphia’s Painted Bride Theater (March 28-April 1) and New York’s Westbeth Theater (April 4-8).
Izzard toured the U.K. in “Circle” after his 12-week run in Peter Hall’s production of Julian Barry’s play “Lenny” at the Queen’s Theater in London.
His last one-man show, “Dress to Kill” was filmed for HBO and aired last summer.
