Writer-director Greg Yaitanes has resorted to “Plan B,” which he will direct with Diane Keaton on board to star. Lensing is slated for a July 8 start in Gotham.
Pic will co-star Paul Sorvino, Natasha Lyonne, Maury Chaykin, Bob Balaban and John Ventimiglia. It will be executive produced by Keaton’s producing partner, Bill Robinson. Script was penned by tyro scribe Lisa Lutz.
Matt Salinger’s Half Moon Entertainment and Steve Hoffman’s New Moon Entertainment, both based in New York, are producing, with financing from a consortium of investors.
“Plan B” is a mob comedy about a mousy accountant who saves her boss from assassination and becomes a very reluctant hit woman.
Yaitanes directed “Hard Justice” for Nu Image Prods. and New Line as well as the Joel Silver-produced “Double Tap,” starring Heather Locklear and Stephen Rea.
Jerry Bruckheimer hired Yaitanes to direct the television series “SOF: Special Ops Force.”
A USC Film School grad, Yaitanes served as a visual consultant for the Diane Keaton-helmed “Unstrung Heroes.” He worked in a similar capacity on Keaton’s “Hanging Up.”
Yaitanes is repped by the William Morris Agency and manager Jon Brown at Ensemble. Keaton is repped by WMA.
