Exec stays attached to 'Honey'

Abby Wolf will leave her post as president of Mostow/Lieberman Prods. after nearly two years at the Universal-based production company.

Sources close to the shingle described Wolf’s departure as “totally amicable” and indicated she is leaving in order to explore other options.

Wolf has been attached as a producer to “As Bees in Honey Drawn,” based on the Douglas Carter Beane play, currently in development at U. She will remain attached as a producer, along with Jersey Films and Hal Lieberman.

Wolf was the first senior hire for Mostow/Lieberman after principals Jonathan Mostow and Lieberman formed the company in early 1998. She came on board as production was starting on the company’s submarine actioner “U-571″ but had nothing to do with its production. Pic is due in theaters April 21.

Prior to joining Mostow/Lieberman, Wolf was president of Sandollar Prods. and vice president at Spring Creek Prods. While at Sandollar, she became a producer on “As Bees,” which U acquired the rights to in 1997. Also while at Sandollar, she produced the pilot for “G vs E,” airing on the Sci Fi Network.
