Wilson joins ‘Wedding’

Thesp to co-star with Lopez, McConaughey

Bridgette Wilson has inked to play the third lead, opposite Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey, in the romantic comedy “The Wedding Planner.” Lensing began Sunday in Los Angeles.

Tapestry Films and the IMF are producing. Intermedia and Pacifica Entertainment will handle international distribution, while Destination Films has domestic (Daily Variety, Dec. 13, 1999).

Wilson’s recent credits include Warner Bros.’ “Love Stinks” and “House on Haunted Hill.” Last year, she wrapped John Hughes’ “The Visitors,” as well as Sally Field’s “Beautiful” and Walt Becker’s “Buying the Cow,” both for Destination Films.

Thesp has appeared in such pics as “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” “The Real Blonde,” “Nevada,” “Nixon” and “Unhook the Stars.”

Wilson is repped by Leslie Siebert at the Gersh Agency and Andrea Pett-Joseph at Basic Entertainment.
