Coming-of-age laffer set in Christian school
In Single Cell’s first script buy since setting up its discretionary fund with Gotham-based digital entertainment company RSUB, principals Michael Stipe and Sandy Stern have optioned the spec “Saved” from tyro scribes Brian Dannelly and Michael Urban, with Dannelly attached to direct.“Saved” is a darkly comic coming-of-age story set in a Christian high school. Stipe and Stern will produce the pic with production/management shingle Symmetry. Script will go out to cast in the next month for a targeted February start. Dannelly and Urban are repped by Joel Milner at Larchmont Literary, manager Brad Kaplan at Symmetry and attorney Carl Austen at Armstrong, Hirsch, Jackoway, Tyerman and Wertheimer.
