Spain’s ‘Coronation’ crowned

Silvio Caiozzi’s tale of loneliness and obsession, “Coronation,” scooped best film and actor (Julio Jung) at Huelva’s 26th Ibero-American Film Festival. Spain’s top specialist fest for pics from the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world wrapped Saturday.

Nods mark further kudos for a Chilean film that already won best director prize at Montreal. Based on a novel of the same title by Chilean Jose Donoso, pic was six years in the making.

Spaniard Fernando Huertas’ down-and-out comedy “Terca Vida” took the audience plaudit, and Cecilia Roth received the actress statue for her perf in Argentine pic “A Night With Sabrina Love,” from Alejandro Agresti.
