HOLLYWOOD — The latest tummy-technology is about to hit the entertainment biz — and it has nothing to do with plastic surgery.
With tonight’s Gotham-based preem of “Shaft,” Paramount will be the first studio to promote a film with Total Motion Media’s Adwheels, a service that provides people wearing high-definition TV screens.
Adwheels will deploy a team of six female models wearing flat screens that can playback shots of the crowd, loop film or video clips and even log on to the Internet, with the help of another device called a Web tablet.
Three of the Adwheels women will appear at the preem at Gotham’s Centro Fly looping on their belly tellies “Shaft” trailers and clips, as well as music videos for R. Kelly’s song “Bad Man” and Isaac Hayes’ “Shaft” theme. The other three will film the crowd with cameras that feed into their belly-cams.
