Kurt Russell is in final negotiations to co-star with Kevin Costner in Franchise Pictures’ “3000 Miles to Graceland.”
Pic, budgeted in the high-$50 million dollar range, will be helmed by former musicvid director Demian Lichtenstein (“Lowball”). Producers are Franchise topper Elie Samaha, Richard Spero and Lichtenstein.
Lichtenstein co-wrote with Ritchie Recco.
Pic is slated to go before cameras March 1.
Story is a gritty Las Vegas heist tale centering on a gang of ex-cons who rob a casino during Elvis convention week.
Franchise’s Tracee Stanley brought the project into the company. Lynn Oddo, director of development for Lightstone Entertainment — Spero’s indie shingle — has shepherded the script through its development and will serve as associate producer. Co-producer is Eric Manes.
Russell is repped by CAA.
