Adam Rifkin, who penned scripts for “Mouse Hunt” and “Small Soldiers,” will helm the low-budget indie drama “Night at the Golden Eagle.” He is also financing and producing with Steve Bing.
Lensing begins this week in Los Angeles, with two relative unknowns in the leads — Donnie Montemarano and Vinnie Argiro. Cast also includes Natasha Lyonne (“The Slums of Beverly Hills”), Vinnie Jones (“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”), Ann Magnuson (“Small Soldiers”) and James Caan.
Rifkin wrote and helmed “The Dark Backward,” with Bill Paxton, and “The Chase,” starring Charlie Sheen. He also directed “Detroit Rock City.” Recently, he penned “Snots” for Warner Bros. and “Posse” for Touchstone, both of which he is attached to direct.
Rifkin is repped by the William Morris Agency.
