Phoenix Pictures has paid mid-six figures for “Tonite at 11,” a pitch from scribe Todd Komarnicki to which he is also attached to helm.
“Tonight” is about a man’s frantic attempt to avert his death after seeing it foretold on the evening news. Komarnicki most recently adapted “The Professor and the Madman” for Icon Prods. and Seaside Prods. with Mel Gibson attached to star.
Phoenix execs Christy Prunier and Nick Morton will supervise “Tonight’s” development for the studio.
Komarnicki also penned the novels “Free” and “Famine.”
Scribe was repped by UTA and attorney Karl Austen at Armstrong, Hirsch, Jackoway, Tyerman and Wertheimer.
