‘Perfect’ fit for Roberts

Scribe Bokenkamp's credits include indie 'Preston'

Revolution Studios has closed a deal with scribe Jon Bokenkamp (“Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows”) to pen “Perfect Strangers,” with Julia Roberts attached to star.

Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, a partner at Revolution, brought the project into the studio and will produce along with Deb Schindler via Roberts’ Gotham-based Shoelace Prods. Revolution’s Todd Garner and Greg Silverman will help oversee the script’s development.

Scribe currently has a blind script commitment at Village Roadshow Pictures and is rewriting “WW3.com” for Fox. His “Point of Origin,” co-written with Matt Taybak and John Herzfeld, is preparing to go into production at New Redemption Pictures for HBO with Herzfeld producing.

Bokenkamp adapted Michael Pye’s “Taking Lives” for Warner Bros., Village Roadshow and Mark Canton. Bokenkamp’s credits also include writing and directing the indie “Preston Tylk,” starring Luke Wilson and Norman Reedus.

Bokenkamp is repped by Nick Reed and Todd Feldman at ICM.
