Chris Penn will reprise his role in New Line Cinema’s “Rush Hour 2” opposite Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan. The actor has also signed on to star in the indie “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” with Stellan Skarsgard.
In “Rush Hour,” Penn will portray amoral ex-bomb salesman Clive. Directed by Brett Ratner, pic shoots this fall.
Penn will begin production on “Kiss Kiss” in London on March 27. A comedy thriller, pic is about a hit man (Skarsgard) who must adopt a full-grown man with the personality of a 5-year-old (Penn). Stewart Sugg directs.
Following “Kiss Kiss,” Penn will star in and produce “Microwave Park,” a police action-thriller penned and directed by his partner in Square One Prods., Eugene Hess. David and Dan Arnold of Arnold Entertainment will produce, with Alpine Picures’ Ryan and Roland Carroll serving as executive producers. The project is skedded to begin production in June.
