Brandon Pope has joined Josh and Jonas Pate’s USA Films-based Rockfish Films as a partner in the company. He will oversee all film production at the company and act as producer on all Pate projects.
Rockfish, which has a first-look deal with both USA Films and Studios USA, is developing and producing a slate that includes the big-budget sci-fi actioner “Earl Watt” and the Southern political epic “Providence Falls.”
Pope, who previously served as Harvey Entertainment’s executive director of theatrical productions, shepherded such projects as “Bunny,” which MGM is developing with Jennifer Love Hewitt and her LoveSpell Prods. and Sid Ganis’ Out of the Blue Entertainment.
Prior to Harvey, Pope was director of acquisitions and productions at the Mischel Co., where he served as associate producer on “The Specials” starring Jamie Kennedy, Rob Lowe and Melissa Joan Hart. His resume also includes stints at Initial Entertainment Group and LIVE Entertainment.
Josh and Jonas Pate wrote, directed and produced “The Grave” as well as “Deceiver,” starring Rene Zellweger and Tim Roth.
