‘N Sync in Really Big Film deal

Large-format concert pic to hit theaters by October

An ‘N Sync concert that was shot in Detroit this week will be produced as a giant-screen film, according to backers of the project.

Los Angeles-based Really Big Film Corp., newly created to produce and distribute films for giant-screen venues, said the concert film will feature a July 18 event at the Pontiac Silverdome. ” ‘N Sync: Bigger Than Live” should hit theaters by October, officials said.

“We are thrilled to be working with ‘N Sync on our very first project,” said Really Big Film’s Jonathan Sanger. “Their explosive staging, mixed with their energetic music, is a perfect fit for our giant-screen format.”

Lion Limited Partnership and Brent Bolthouse Prods. are joining Really Big Film as co-exec producers. Burbank-based Iwerks Entertainment, which operates both simulation-ride and giant-screen theaters, will line produce the film.
