Mouse takes ‘Flight’ pitch

'34th' scribe gets low six

Disney has flown in and scooped up the pitch “Flight Plan” from writer Peter Dowling, his producing partner Robert DiNozzi and Imagine Entertainment for a low-six-figure sum.

High-concept thriller was brought first to Jim Whitaker at Imagine, who along with DiNozzi brought it to Disney. Imagine’s Brian Grazer will serve as a producer on the pic, along with DiNozzi. Imagine’s story editor Beth Babyak will oversee the project.

The Mouse’s senior veep of production, Mark Vahradian, will oversee the project’s development.

Dowling recently wrote “The Thirty-Fourth Floor” for Arnold Kopelson; DiNozzi is serving as a co-producer.

Dowling’s deal was negotiated by Scott Henderson at Major Clients Agency along with attorney Eric Feig at Wolf, Rifkin & Shapiro.
