Julianne Moore and Billy Crudup will topline the Independent Film Channel-backed indie “World Traveler,” a drama written and directed by Bart Freundlich (“The Myth of Fingerprints”).
Budgeted at about $2 million, the production is slated for a late September-early October start. Tim Perell will produce.
Pic concerns a Manhattanite who wakes up one morning and leaves his wife and young child in search of another life.
Moore, who will segue to “World” after wrapping “Hannibal,” previously starred in “Magnolia,” Short Cuts,” “The End of the Affair” as well as “The Myth of Fingerprints.”
Billy Crudup, who currently can be seen in “Jesus’ Son,” stars in the upcoming DreamWorks title “Almost Famous,” helmed by Cameron Crowe.
Freundlich, Moore and Crudup are repped by CAA; Freundlich and Moore are managed by Talent Entertainment Group.
