Miramax has bought Kayla Alpert’s comedy pitch “Outward Blonde.”
Story is about a materialistic Long Islander sent to an intensive Outward Bound program after being caught stealing at Louis Vuitton.
Alpert, who previously sold “Bitch, Bitch, Bitch” on spec to New Line and another pitch, “Sirens,” to Warner Bros., has also been hired to write and produce for “Ally McBeal.”
Moxie Pictures producers Lizzie Friedman and Francesca Silvestri, who are also attached to produce “A View From the Top” for Miramax, brought “Blonde” to the indie studio. Miramax’s Robbie Brenner will oversee the project.
Alpert is repped by WMA. Miramax veep of business and legal affairs Eric Roth negotiated the deal for Miramax.
