NEW YORK — Fresh from “Pearl Harbor,” actress James King is set to join “Dawson’s Creek” star Joshua Jackson in “Lone Star State of Mind,” a Screen Gems film that Dave Semel will direct from a script by Trevor Munson.
King and Jackson will play lovers who get into misadventures as they try to escape their small Texas town and chase dreams of fame and fortune. The comedy, which begins production Jan. 31, will be produced by Steven Pearl, Lisa Moiselle and Robin Budd. Exec producers are Ed Zwick, Marshall Herskovitz and Rick Solomon.
King has transitioned from modeling to acting with starring roles in the upcoming films “Happy Campers,” “Blow” and “Hook It Up,” all due for release in 2001.
