LONDON — Michael Caine and Michael Keaton will co-star in “Quicksand,” an action thriller to be directed by John Mackenzie.
Pic, which starts shooting in December in New York and the south of France, is being produced by Geoff Reeve and being financed by Visionview.
Reeve and Visionview previously teamed on John Irvin’s “Shiner,” which also starred Caine and premiered last week at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
In “Quicksand,” Caine will play a washed-up film star who unwittingly becomes entangled in the Cote d’Azur underworld. Keaton plays a New York banker who gets sucked in when he arrives in Monaco to investigate irregularities.
This will be the fifth collaboration between Reeve and Caine, and the third time Caine has worked with Mackenzie.
