Jersey taps Hardesty VP

Exec goes to Shore this summer

Kevin Hardesty, formerly director of development at Alphaville, Wednesday was named VP of production at Jersey Films.

Hardesty will be responsible for generating material and story ideas for Jersey and its specialty division, Jersey Shore.

“I’ve always admired Jersey’s films, and I look forward to being a part of the Jersey family,” he said.

During two years at Alphaville, Hardesty also served as associate producer on “I Was Made to Love Her.” Previously, he worked at Universal on film projects including “One True Thing” and “American Pie.”

Jersey’s Pamela Abdy was upped in February to senior VP production from veep. Partners at Jersey, which has a first-look deal at Universal, include Danny DeVito, Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher.
