LONDON — Jeremy Irons and Forest Whitaker will co-star in “The Fourth Angel,” a British thriller that John Irvin is set to direct.
The pic is being co-produced by Allan Scott’s Rafford Films and Peter Simpson’s Norstar Filmed Entertainment, with financing from Sky Pictures. Peter Elson’s Global Cinema Group is handling international sales.
Adapted by Scott from Robin Hunter’s novel, “Angel” is the story of a thoughtful and civilized man (Irons) whose life is turned upside down when his wife and daughter are gunned down in a terrorist attack. As he seeks justice for his family, he comes into a conflict with an FBI agent (Whitaker).
Charlotte Rampling, Elizabeth McGovern and Jason Priestley are taking supporting roles. The film starts shooting Aug. 14 in London.
