Helmer to take on Bowden novel

Ridley Scott, who has a first-look deal with Jerry Bruckheimer Films and is currently helming “Hannibal,” is in talks with Bruckheimer to helm “Black Hawk Down,” based on the novel by Mark Bowden, “Black Hawk Down: A Story of Modern War.” Scott and Bruckheimer are repped by CAA. Reps for Bruckheimer and Scott could not be reached.
