Rock film to be released next spring

Imax Corp. has added the Dave Matthews Band, Al Green, B.B. King, Mary G. Blige and Cheb Mami to the lineup of its “All Access” giant-screen rock concert film.

Green will be filmed while performing with the Dave Matthews Band Friday at Soldier Field in Chicago. Algeria’s Cheb Mami and Sting were shot at a New Jersey concert on Tuesday and Sheryl Crow was due to be filmed tonight at Sony Music Studios in New York.

Imax shot footage of King and Blige in February in the days prior to the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles along with previously announced spots from Carlos Santana, George Clinton, Kid Rock, Trey Anastasio from Phish, Macy Gray, Moby and the Roots.

“All Access” presented by Certs, will be released next spring. It is directed by Martyn Atkins. Producers are Jon and Peter Shapiro for Ideal Entertainment.
