Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt have closed deals to play opposite each other, and Kevin Kline has been offered the role of Weaver’s love interest, in MGM’s comic film noir “Breakers.”
MGM exec Alex Gartner and producer John Davis shepherded the script, credited to Stephen Mazur and Paul Guay, about a mother-and-daughter con artist duo and the men they swindle. Cameras roll in L.A. and Florida in April, with David Mirkin (“Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion”) at the helm.
WMA and Bob Wallerstein at Armstrong Hirsch handled the deal for Hewitt. Weaver’s package was negotiated by ICM’s Steve Dontanville and Sam Cohn, and attorney Allen Wertheimer.
