Paramount has found its favorite Marcia for the lead female role in the CBS pilot “From Where I Sit.”
Marcia Gay Harden will play Sharon, a high school sex education teacher and the wife of overwhelmed family man Bob (David Paymer).
The sitcom, set in suburban Boston, comes from “Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist’s” Jonathan Katz. “From Where I Sit” also stars Lizzy Caplan as Lily; Daveigh Chase as Anna; Jane Adams as Ruth; Robert Klein as Lenny; and Peter Falk as Abe.
On the bigscreen, Harden stars as Tommy Lee Jones’ love interest in the upcoming summer picture “Space Cowboys” and will star as painter Lee Krasner, opposite Ed Harris, in the feature “Pollock.”
Harden’s film credits also include “Meet Joe Black,” “Flubber” and “First Wives Club.”
On TV, Harden will also star in the A&E movie “Thin Air” and CBS telepic “Guilty Hearts.” Other credits include the miniseries “Sinatra” and the recent A&E TV movie “Small Vices.”
Harden is repped by Maryellen Mulcahy at Endeavor and managers Mindel/Donegan.
