Greenfield takes helm on ‘Animal’

Lensing slated to begin Oct. in L.A.

Joe Roth’s Revolution Studios is in negotiations with short filmmaker Luke Greenfield (“The Right Hook”) to direct “Animal,” to star Rob Schneider ( “Deuce Bigelow”).

Lensing is slated to begin Oct. 16 in Los Angles.

Greenfield made his short, which will be screened in Los Angeles Sept. 19, for $28,000.

Adam Sandler and Jack Giarraputo are exec producers. Carr D’Angelo, Barry Bernardi and Revolution’s Todd Garner are producing.

“Animal,” picked up from Disney, centers on a man whose organs have been replaced by those of various animals. (Daily Variety, Aug. 7, 2000).

Pic was penned by Schneider and Tom Brady based on an idea by Brady.

Schneider is repped by Endeavor, as is Greenfield.
