Future Film has ‘Orders’

Michael Caine pic set to shoot in U.K. this fall

LONDON — Future Film Group has acquired U.K. rights to Fred Schepisi’s “Last Orders,” which will be released through its distribution alliance with Metrodome.

“Last Orders,” starring Michael Caine, is set to shoot in the U.K. this fall. It’s a $12 million drama about a group of old friends who embark on a morbid road trip.

FFG is a film financing company that combines sale-and-leaseback deals for British pics with the acquisition of U.K. rights. The films are then released through local indie Metrodome, which puts up the P&A.

FFG/Metrodome previously picked up the Sharon Stone starrer “Beautiful Joe,” which went straight to video in the U.K., and “The Body,” starring Antonio Banderas. It also has a 14-pic deal with Canada’s GFT Entertainment.
