Fox Searchlight has tapped Breena Camden senior veep, publicity and promotions.
Camden will oversee publicity and promo activities for the company’s upcoming pics including “Quills,” “Kingdom Come,” “Chinese Coffee” and “Sexy Beast.”
“It is rare to find such a strategically minded executive who is at the same time so creative,” said Fox Searchlight marketing prexy Nancy Utley. “Breena’s publicity and promotions experience in both the domestic and global marketplace have provided her with the solid, hit-the-ground-running skill set that Searchlight was seeking.”
Camden joins Searchlight from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment Intl., where she was VP of publicity and promotions.
During her tenure there, Camden developed the publicity/promotion strategy for all Fox video titles released in 52 international markets. Slate included “Titanic,” “The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition,” “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” and “There’s Something About Mary.”
She also spearheaded the development of a strategic corporate communication infrastructure that includes a global Internet site and a monthly news vehicle.
Camden joined the international homevideo arm from Fox’s domestic feature film publicity department. She began her career as an L.A. field representative at Orion Pictures.
