Fintage House bows Web unit

Collection and disbursement of film proceeds goes high tech

CANNES — Fintage House, the Dutch financial services company, has launched an Internet rights collection service, Fintage Internet. The division will operate under Fintage House managing director Robbert Aarts cq.

Fintage already specializes in the management of off-line business-to-business financial transactions for film and TV, music, sports and talent sectors. Fintage Internet’s first service, Fintage e-safe, will offer online, off-line and virtual collection account management services to producers, sales companies and distributors.

These are aimed at allowing film sellers security of payment as films’ delivery to distributors is accomplished by online streaming.

“The Internet puts an extra pressure on reputable and guaranteed third party collection and disbursement of film proceeds from an industry leading company,” said Aarts.

The 14-year-old Fintage House is owned by Dutch bank MeesPierson.
