The Farrelly brothers’ 20th Century Fox-based Conundrum Entertainment has picked up the comedy pitch “Checkered Past” from rookie writing team David Connaughton and John Trozak.
“Checkered” revolves around a man with amnesia who arrives in a new town, establishes himself as a model citizen and then is revealed as being anything but.
The team’s relationship with the Farrellys began when they contributed a few (uncredited) jokes to the hit “There’s Something About Mary.”
“Checkered” was brought into the studio by TCF senior VP Josie Rosen.
Repping Connaughton and Trozak were Bradley Glenn at Metropolitan Talent Agency and attorney Bob Stulberg at Armstrong, Hirsh, Jackoway, Tyerman & Wertheimer.
