LONDON — Digital exhibition will arrive in Europe for the first time when “Toy Story 2” opens Feb. 4 at London’s Odeon Leicester Square.
Buena Vista Intl. has arranged for digital projection equipment to be installed in the U.K.’s flagship theater, where the film will run exclusively for one week before going into general release.
“Toy Story 2” will also be projected digitally at two other multiplexes starting Feb. 11: the UCI’s Trafford Park complex in Manchester and the Warner Village Finchley Road in north London.
“Digital projection looks so wonderful with a computer-generated film,” said BVI’s U.K. managing director Daniel Battsek.
