HONG KONG — Gordon Cheung, a 10-year Golden Harvest vet who has headed international sales for the prolific Hong Kong-based film producer, is ankling.
Cheung has indicated he will leave mid-June as distribution VP.
He is being succeeded by Cora Yim, who has developed contacts with foreign distribs in her role as head of acquisitions at Golden Harvest.
Cheung declined to comment on his departure and indicated he won’t talk about his plans until after he exits.
He leaves as Golden Harvest, bolstered by the injection of capital from local investors, is ramping up production to 12-15 titles a year.
Its slate includes Jackie Chan starrer “Accidental Spy,” gangland adventure “Tokyo Invasion,” romantic comedy “Summer Holiday” and actioner “C-3 Fighters.”
