Centropolis takes a run at ‘Dead Man’s’ pitch

'Zero' scribe gets six figures

Sony-based Centropolis Entertainment has paid six figures for scribe Jesse Alexander’s supernatural action pitch “Dead Man’s Run.” The story centers around a man who dies for a living.

Based on Alexander’s previous relationship with Centropolis — he and Ellory Elkayem co-scripted “Arac-Attack” for the company — Centropolis senior veep Peter Winther brought Alexander’s idea to partners Roland Emmerich, Dean Devlin and Ute Emmerich and they acquired the project.

Alexander, who also penned “Ground Zero” for Mandalay Entertainment, was repped in the deal by Brian Sher and Justin Silvera of the Broder Kurland Webb Uffner Agency and by attorney Robert Lange.
