Barry Levinson and Paula Weinstein’s Baltimore Spring Creek Pictures have sold Chris Fallon and David Faigenblum’s pitch “The Assignment” to Warner Bros. for six-figures.
Fallon will pen the screenplay from a story by him and Faigenblum, with Warner Bros.’ exec Jeff Robinov overseeing the project’s development. Weinstein and Levinson will produce.
BSC exec veep Len Amato brought the pitch to Robinov.
Described as an action-thriller, story centers on an undercover agent who is double-crossed during an assignment.
Fallon’s previous script was “Phantom Deer Arise,” which John Schlesinger is attached to direct.
Fallon is repped by the Marion Rosenberg Office and Michael Levy Enterprises along with agent the Shulman Rose Agency.
