Ballots go out for SAG awards

Ceremony to be held March 12

Ballots for outstanding motion picture and television performances of 1999 were distributed Monday to the Screen Actors Guild’s nominating committee.

The panel, comprised of 4,200 active members, will review performances from 167 feature length films and 187 primetime TV and cable programs before casting votes in 13 categories.

Ballots must be returned to SAG’s certified elections firm by Jan. 28. Nominations will be announced Feb. 1.

The sixth annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, to be held at L.A.’s Shrine Exposition Center, will be telecast live March 12 on cabler TNT.
