Entries are being accepted through April 30 for the fourth annual Hollywood Film Festival. Event, presented by Hollywood Video, is scheduled to take place Aug. 2-7 at venues including the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and Paramount Studios.
“The festival is an international competitive event committed to bridging the gap between Hollywood and emerging independent filmmakers and storytellers,” said the fest’s founder, Carlos de Abreu.
The program has been expanded this year to include the Hollywood Discovery Awards, highlighting children’s, digital, European, Latin and online cinema. Winners of the Hollywood Online Film Festival, which features five films selected each month by visitors to ETonline.com, will be showcased theatrically at Paramount as part of the festivities.
Other events held in conjunction with the fest include the Hollywood Film Conference, Hollywood Film Screenings, Hollywood Film Market and the Hollywood Film Awards Gala.
Last year’s awards gala — which drew more than 1,000 guests — honored Jack Lemmon, Drew Barrymore and John Schlesinger, among others, and presenters included Jan de Bont, Martha Coolidge, Arthur Hiller, Neil Simon and Jon Voight.
