Oh, those cybergeeks will do anything for a date. Online dating service SocialNet.com’s CEO Liz Kalodner will enter the cyber singles scene in search of a mate. On Thursday, Kalodner’s profile will be posted on the site. Men (and women pretending to be men, and children pretending to be adult males) wishing to date her must register as a SocialNet member, submit a photo (preferably of themselves) and send an e-mail to Kalodner describing their fantasy date.
Site will choose 12 finalists, with Netizens voting for four lucky winners. And Kalodner is quite a catch! Not only is she a high-power Internet exec, but she’s a former showbiz pro as well. Prior to dating complete strangers, the Harvard alum served as senior veep and general manager for Walt Disney Records, the Mouse House’s children’s audio label.
