TV marketing exec Lori Shackel has been upped to senior veep at Universal Worldwide Television Group.

Shackel will manage all marketing activity in the U.S. related to U’s firstrun TV shows, including creative advertising, publicity and promotion. She’ll also oversee online activity on behalf of UWT, including the “Blind Date” Web site, as well as sponsorship and partnership tie-ins and affiliate relations campaigns.

Shackel has been with various incarnations of the studio for 13 years. The shop was relaunched as Universal Worldwide Television about a year ago, after U acquired Polygram.

Prior to Polygram, she served as director of worldwide marketing for ITC Entertainment Group, which was acquired by Polygram and relaunched as Polygram Television.

Prior to that, she worked in feature film publicity at TriStar Pictures.
